- Be granted a temporary form of leave to remain due to an asylum application. This includes limited leave to remain, humanitarian protection, or similar legal statuses.
- Be a child or partner of an asylum seeker, or an unaccompanied asylum-seeking child.
 
- Be an asylum-seeker (i.e., someone who has applied for refugee status and is awaiting a decision).
